Since then, after earning a BA in Communications, she's worked as a staff and freelance journalist, a publicity writer and a copy editor. In addition to her regular writing and editing services, organizations have asked her to create PowerPoint presentations, develop grant proposals and refine marketing programs. The following are a few of the accomplishments of which she is particularly proud: Helped a small nonprofit organization raise over $80,000 in grants, sponsorships and donations in approximately seven months. Wrote a pitch letter and a feature article that landed a martial arts instructor six pages in a national martial arts magazine. Honored with a 1993 governor's citation.
